Position Overview

We have an opportunity for a full time Quantity Surveyor to join our Quantity Surveying team in Melbourne. Reporting to the National Executive Director, this position will perform quantity surveying activities to support the preparation and delivery of client projects.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare measurements for cost estimates and bills of quantities
  • Prepare financier’s initial reports and progress reports
  • Complete assessments of contractor’s progress claims
  • Undertake variation assessments
  • Liaise with subcontractors/suppliers to obtain pricing of materials
  • Attend site visits and client meetings
  • Client liaison and relationship management including client communication
  • Develop client relationships to acquire new business, commensurate with experience

Position Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • 3-5 years Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong articulate written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Disciplined and organised with a strong work ethic
  • Commercially astute and client focused
  • AIQS Membership or equivalent preferable
