Our Story
Where it all started?
The firm was founded in suburban Melbourne by Scott Keck in 1970, established as a real estate valuations business. In the late 1970s, Philip Cramer joined forces with Scott Keck, and as the demand for valuations in Melbourne surged, the firm experienced steady growth throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
By the late 1990s, the firm diversified its operations, establishing independent Research and Quantity Surveying business units.

Charter Keck Cramer
The 2000s saw the inception of Charter Keck Cramer, a statement of the firm’s independence and growing reputation. Continued growth ensued with the expansion into Advisory, Civil Engineering and Land Surveying, together with Development Management services. In late 2009, Scott Keck became Executive Chairman and Peter Hutchins was appointed Managing Director.
Our Story
2010 and beyond
In the 2010s, Charter Keck Cramer cemented itself as a leading Australian property advisory firm, expanding its offering and growing to over 150 employees in Melbourne and opening a Sydney office in 2014.
In 2015, Charter Keck Cramer appointed an Executive dedicated to the ASEAN Region to meet demand from overseas investors into the Australian market, followed by the opening of its flagship ASEAN office in Singapore and the launch of Capital in 2017.
2018 saw the opening of a Brisbane office, with expansion to the Gold Coast occurring in 2020, contributing to the growth of Charter Keck Cramer’s Valuations services.

Today, Charter Keck Cramer’s corporate footprint spans Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Singapore. Throughout this period of strategic growth, Charter Keck Cramer’s client community focus has been a mainstay.
