THE PROJECT
Charter analysed the University’s projected student growth and course distribution. Having established benchmark area ratios and development intensities, the University’s future accommodation requirements were identified.
Existing campuses were assessed and strategic consideration of the University’s considerable land holdings was used to articulate accommodation needs and options.
Having identified the accommodation demand Charter prepared recommendations for how and where it could be delivered by optimizing existing land holdings.
BENEFITS TO VICTORIA UNIVERSITY
Charter’s insights confirmed that the accommodation implication of the University’s growth strategy was substantially larger than they expected.
On the basis of our analysis the Client was able to redirect their property planning and ensure land assets were not prematurely determined to be surplus or put to sub-optimal use.
